Please don't generalize about Americans. Every "American" reading your post right now had nothing to do with dog breeding. why don't you do your research and actually name the people who fucked up the breed? Should I say all Europeans are fucking stupid because they came here in the first place purely out of greed and killed off all of the land's natural inhabitants?

You can call Europeans whatever you want, I don’t care.

Fact is, Americans are the ones to blame for the breeding of modern unhealthy Meatmouth Shar Pei. Chinese did their part too by providing them the wrinkliest dogs, however Americans were the ones who were buying them and breeding them.

This is Down-Homes Kung Fu from 1978, one of the first Shar Peis brought to America. It is mindboggling how Americans managed to fuck up this breed so thoroughly, when the genetic material they started with was as excellent as this handsome dog.
